My Gentle Approach – The NARM Methodology

Healing Through Connection and Presence

Healing happens when you feel safe—emotionally, physically, and relationally.

My approach is rooted in compassion, presence, and deep respect for your pace. We won’t push, dig, or re-trigger old pain. Instead, we gently build awareness, nurture nervous system regulation, and co-create a space where healing unfolds naturally.

This isn’t about reliving trauma. It’s about releasing its grip and reconnecting with who you truly are.

Somatic Focus

NARM emphasizes body-mind integration, not just talk therapy

Resource-Oriented

Uncover the diamond within—cleaning off trauma layers to reveal innate worth

Minimal Re-traumatization

Focuses on the present, not re-traumatizing through deep dives into the past

Gentle Guidance

We guide, don’t push—minimizing past revisiting, maximizing reconnection to self

Your Journey to Healing

A Step-by-Step Path Toward Wholeness and Self-Connection

Healing isn’t linear—and it’s not about “fixing” yourself. It’s about gently returning to wholeness, one connection at a time. Here’s how that process may unfold in our work together:

Step 1

Step 1

Awareness & Regulation

We begin by identifying and aligning with what you most wish for yourself and I invite you to notice your emotional and physiological responses.

Step 2

Step 2

Processing & Integration

We explore patterns and survival strategies with curiosity—not judgment—so that old wounds can be acknowledged and released without being re-lived.

Step 3

Step 3

Growth & Resilience

As connection and regulation grow, so does your sense of inner strength, choice, and wholeness. You begin to feel more aliveness and show up in life in ways that reflect your true self.

Embodiment & Continuity

Healing becomes less about “doing” and more about being. This final phase is about embodying your growth—living your values, building nourishing relationships, and continuing your journey with greater self-trust and inner peace.

What Is NARM?

Healing Trauma Without Reliving the Past

The NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM®) is a cutting-edge, compassionate approach to healing complex trauma. Unlike traditional talk therapy, NARM doesn’t focus on reliving past events. Instead, it works with how unresolved trauma shows up in the present—through patterns of disconnection, shame, or emotional dysregulation.
At its core, NARM is about restoring connection: to yourself, your emotions, and your innate sense of aliveness. It combines nervous system regulation with a respectful, non-pathologizing lens that honours your story—without keeping you stuck in it.

Is NARM right for me?

When You’re Ready for a Different Kind of Therapy

NARM may be a good fit if you…

  • Feel stuck in old patterns, despite years of therapy
  • Struggle with anxiety, shame, or emotional numbness
  • Grew up with emotional neglect, unpredictability, or lack of attunement
  • Feel disconnected from your body, needs, or boundaries
  • Want more than just coping—you want transformation

You don’t need to have a clear trauma “story” to benefit. NARM is especially helpful for developmental trauma—the kind that comes from what was missing, not just what happened.
